Homestay message

Hi - Welcome to Ottawa. I am an ESL teacher and I have a house in the west end of Ottawa. It has 2 extra bedrooms as well as a basement suite that would be suitable for a couple. The house has a big back garden which looks onto a field, very close to a bike path. In a great location, it is about 15 minutes from Algonquin College on foot, as well as 10 minutes from the 95 bus and 3 minutes from the 150 express bus to downtown. I have taught in China for several years and welcome students from Asia. I speak French, some Italian & Spanish and a little little Chinese. My grown-up children live nearby with their husbands and we get together often. One is married to a Chinese Canadian and she also speaks Japanese and has a 15 month old son. I have nearly 4 year-old and 2 year-old grand-daughters who often spend time with me. I am very active, play tennis, swim and ski whenever possible. The house has laundry facilities, access to internet, cable TV and phone. We also have a pingpong table and a bicycle available for use. I am a good cook, using little meat, but a lot of international recipes. Airport pickup may be available depending on time of arrival.
