Homestay message
Hi, my name is Claire and I will introduce you to my family in the hopes that if you decide to come and live with us you will know a bit about us before you come to Canada. My husband, Pierre, just retired 7 months ago from the military after 35 years of service. Now he works for them as a civilian. He has a degree in civil and aerospace engineer. He likes reading, badminton and enjoys watching a good hockey game and other sports on television. I have 2 daughters. Caroline is 24 years old. She is studying at a college in graphic design. She will finish her studies in 2 years. She is very talented in drawing. She now lives on her own not far from here. My second daughter, Veronique, is 20 years old. She just started her 3rd year of university. She is studying in anthropology with a minor in history. She love traveling, playing piano and to go shopping. I am a stay at home mom and take care of the house and other stuff. I love sewing and decorating. We also have 2 small dogs([ Shi- tzu) named Milou and Fifi. We are a French Canadian family and we all speak English. We have been hosting international students from around the world for the past 22 years and we love it. We live in Orleans, a suburb of Ottawa, just 20 minutes east of downtown. Airport pick up is available for $25.00 CAN. Photos can be sent to you on demand. Your room is very well decorated. It include bed with all bedding, desk with lamp, drawer, small TV, floor lamp, night table with lamp, chair and otter to relax ,read or study, large closet, ceiling fan. You will also have access to wireless high speed internet and I do the laundry.
