Homestay message
Hello,
Looking to open my home to a non-smoking female. I am bilingual in English and French (oui je parle le Français), and have shared my home with students from Canada, Dominican Republic, Hong Kong and Mexico. I have no pets.
The room is available from September 1st, 2010, either on a month to month basis or the entire school year ending Spring 2011.
I live in a cozy two-story townhome with three bedrooms. It is located in Orleans, east end of Ottawa. The room available has a twin bed, dresser, night table and bookcase; a desk could be added if needed. The main bathroom would be available for the person coming to my home (only shared tub). The basement rec room will be shared, it has a tv and computer area.
Express and regular buses are a very short walk from my home. Downtown and Ottawa University is about fifteen minutes by bus (some include bike racks) and ten minutes drive. Nearby there is a 24-hour grocery store, pharmacy, bank and gym. The main highway is a two minute drive, and a large mall and gym is within a five minute drive. Close by are nature trails beside the Ottawa River, perfect for walking and biking.
I am flexible regarding meal plans. If you prefer to cook on your own, I am fine with sharing my kitchen should you wish to obtain your own food. Or, meals can be added for an additional cost.
My hobbies include reading, knitting, jam making and home renovations. I enjoy walking, biking, travelling and meeting with family and friends.
Laundry facilities, heat, hydro and local calls are included in the rent.
I am willing to do pickup from the airport, I simply ask for $20 to cover the gas expense.
