Homestay message
My name is Suzie Lamothe, I was born and still live in Ottawa and work as a Realtor. I have a large newer home in the East end of the City of Ottawa in an area called Orleans.
We have 2 cats and are non smokers - I Speak English and French and some Russian. I work from home and enjoy cooking. We have a complete apartment within our home with it's own living room, bathroom, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The apartment is fully equiped with cable television, dvd player, coffee maker, mirowave,internet connection and telephone.
Students who prefer to cook their own meals are welcome at $600 per month, otherwise Weekday morning meals would be taken on your own with food provided at our home, weekend breakfast with us, lunches can be made to take away and dinners will be family style.
A public transit bus stops right behing our home at peak hours and travels to dowtown. By bus the ride is approx 18 minutes. We are also within walking distance to a large Shopping Centre which is also a main transit station.
In the summer we have a pretty back garden with a deck and bicyles available. This homesay will appeal most to those who like their privacy and are independant. We are never too busy to help however familiarize you with Ottawa and enjoy sharing our life with others.
We are presently hosting a female Chinese student who is studying at the Cordon Bleu Institute in Ottawa which is located near Ottawa University. We have space for one more person between June 1-August 31st, 2010. We are perhaps located too far from Algonquin College and Calreton University but 20 minutes from Ottawa University and downtown Ottawa.
